You may have heard that Austin is booming! It means more high-rise condos in Downtown Austin.
If you’re new to the area, you might be curious about all the condo towers going up. You can use this guide to learn about some of the upcoming projects.
307 East is a 65-story tower located on East 2nd Street in Austin. It is from Intracorp and with designs by Page Architecture (exterior) and Rottet Studio (interior). The development project is a high-end luxury branch of Hilton’s Conrad Hotels and Resorts brand.
The tower will stand 756 feet tall with 573,000 square feet of space. Seventeen thousand square feet will be retail space. The upper floors will have 136 luxury residences and 330 hotel rooms. As of this writing, it will be the second-largest tower in Austin.
It is conveniently located near the downtown convention center and will offer residents and guests easy access to downtown amenities.
321 West is a mixed-use tower developed by Tishman Speyer and Ryan Companies in Austin, TX. The 561,000-square-foot tower will have 140,000 square feet of office space and 369 luxury apartments, with parking on floors 2-11.
Handel Architects are designing the tower. It’s located in Austin’s entertainment district and close to Republic Square. Completion is expected by late 2024 or early 2025.
The Waterline Tower is a new skyscraper in Austin by development partners Lincoln Property Company and Kairoi Residential. The tower is at 98 Red River, and they expect completion in 2026, with 74 stories standing at 1,022 feet.
The tower will include 700,000 square feet of office space, 251 hotel rooms, and 352 apartments. It will also have a pavilion at its base with 24,000 square feet of publicly accessible retail space.
This 32-story downtown Austin condo tower is under review by the city. It will have 220 new residences and is one of several projects by local developers Pearlstone Partners. The tower will rise to 32 floors on a roughly 0.4-acre site cleared last summer.
The design details are not yet clear, but STG Design will likely be the architect. The only issue with the project is its 8-story parking podium. It might become a problem upon the Orange Line’s completion in the 2030s.
As you can see, plenty of high-rise condos are coming to Downtown Austin. With so much going on, it’s going to be a busy couple of years!
